Feb 21 / Food Diary: Cafe Lidia

Finally! I was able to try out some dishes from Cafe Lidia last Sunday. Parents told me they served good food so I had to taste them myself.

We went there right after the mass via jeepney. Yes. A family that commutes together, stays together. Hahaha. Our car is somewhere in the Pacific [Ocean] finding its way to the Port of Manila. We have no choice but to travel via public transportation ‘til it gets here since parents are really practical, you know.

Iced Tea

This one was shot by my pretty little sister Agatha. See my father? Hihi. He’s always in serious mode.

Here’s Agatha.

Nachos (8/10) <-That’s a rating, by the way.

Parents loved this one ‘cause they said it wasn’t salty. I agree but not really the best one I’ve tried.

Pan Seared Cream Dory (2/10)

That was my dish for that night. You might be wondering why I gave it a two out of ten. That’s ‘cause the mashed potatoes tasted really weird. It didn’t have that butter-y kick, you know what I mean? It was like a plain soft potato. It was nothing compared to the one they serve in KFC. I wasn’t even able to finish it ‘cause it was horrible. The dory was bad also. I won’t even bother to comment on it. The only thing I loved about it is the free salad. Thank God, something was right. Will definitely NOT order this again. Be warned y’all!

Blueberry Cheesecake (10/10)

I find this piece perfect. It’s not the typical sweetened cheesecake. For me, it was an authentic CHEESEcake. It’s kinda difficult to explain but it was great. The caramel sauce it had was also something eh? This one’s a MUST TRY!
