Aug 11 / Thank you for the memories, Photograph (Part Five)
After two days of non-stop raining brought by the habagat, our electricity supply was cut due to heavy flooding in the nearby areas. Buti nalang hindi kami binaha pero wala kaming kuryente. Labo. Pero okay lang at least hindi kami binaha.
Since my grandparents and cousins are living near the overflowing river, they had to leave their place and stayed with us for the past couple of days. It was then that nanay Mameng (my grandmother) showed me these pictures. Apparently, she had some old photos with her kept in a pouch. Para hindi daw masira ng baha.

I’m not sure who’s birthday was celebrated this day at my grandparents’ place but I’m pretty sure the balloon is from my mother. From left to right there’s kuya Atoy (my brother), yours truly with a matching Jollibee attire, ate Dimples and Ong-Ong.

I think this was taken somewhere near the ilog (river). We used to visit my grandparents’ place often back then. But not anymore. That part of the town is already congested with people. No more open fields to enjoy. I’m the one wearing red. When my little sister saw this picture she told me I didn’t change a bit. Haha! Ate Dimples is the one wearing orange then kuya Atoy is the one wearing a white sando.
Haaaay, I love looking at old photos. They give you new things to learn about yourself. Til another set then guys. Thanks for reading!
